New Band: C2C (Electro/Hip Hop France)
Today I’d like to introduce you to a new group of Djs hailing from Nantes, France: C2C. Their music is a smart mix of electro, hip-hop, jazz and Turntablism! They released earlier this week their album “Tetra” (purchase your copy here) that I advise you to check out.
The four members of C2C met in high school during their teenage years, and soon started developing their own unique performing style. Their achievements in the competition circuit come second to none. The quartet ranked #1 in the DMC World Competition four times in a row (2003-2006), thanks to their unique blend of breathtaking technical dexterity and innate musical sensitivity. The audience was astonished by their highly playful yet incredibly precise and spectacular routines, and the intoxicating jazzy tunes they managed to create through their deceptively simple contraptions. To this day, their live performances remain extremly popular, totalling more than 7 million views on Youtube alone, and continue to spread through online and social media.
I absolutely loved their remix of Bernhoft’s Shout (Watch Below) & here is one of my favorite tracks “Down The Road”

En fait, C2C n’est pas vraiment un nouveau groupe, il date même d’un moment, très actif dans la scène scratch et deejaying (cf. les titres DMC comme tu l’indiques plus haut). À souligner également, la présence de 20Syl, le leader vocal de Hocus Pocus qui sévit également aux platines de C2C.
J’ai également ENORMEMENT APPRECIÉ le remix de Bernhoft !
